Alignment Off and Cracked Rim

Alignment Off and Cracked Rim
For those of you not residing in the Chicagoland area, about 10 inchs of snow came down last night. It took me 1.5 hrs to get home on a usual 15 min car ride. On my way back, I'm guessing there was a pothole hidden under some unplowed snow that I went over that caused a loud bang noise come from the front left part of my car. I hoped that there wasn't any suspension damage but my alignment is definitely off now. After taking a closer examination, about 3 inches of the circumfrence of the outer lip cracked off my front left rim. Hopefully, the impact only caused a misalignment and cracked lip. I can see where the steering wheel is dead-center that the front left wheel is slightly off compared to the right. Is there any way to examine to see if there's any other issues? Any guesses what other damage might have happened?

The Chicago snowstorm was all over ther news last night (Midway tragedy).
Cracks in a wheel are never a good thing. A wheel is a safety item. Don't use this rim anymore. If you have a full size spare, swap it out and start shopping for a new rim. Try adsitco.com.

My 95 E320 has a full size spare. You can get a new one from Adsitco for $134.

It sounds like a good candidate for a salvage part. Try SilverStar Recycling

Jack and the wonderful guys at MCLS in Bridgeview, IL took care of me and were able to bend back the lower control arm into its original shape. Instead of doling out an arm and a leg for the repair, I saved a ton.
However, if any of you guys need parts for your W124, I found a guy on ebay ("rojoimports) that sells New OEM parts for cheap. He had the control I needed for $95 instead of $450+ at the shop and $85 at Silverstar recycling. Thankfully, I didn't need to go there.
