G - 55 AMG, E 320 Coupe Sportline, C 230 kompressor
i got clk 04 17x7.5 rims and they didn't fit, 18x8 dont got a chance unless you modify the chassis, thats what i did. look for for some 17" those will be an easier fit

1995-E320 Coupe
i bellive that 17" wil fit
mine is 235/45/R17 Rear
and.... 215/.../..... Front
no modifications, no problems at all
so 40/R18 will do the trick! - maybe -
you have to keep the overall diameter (bigger rims / smaller offset)
have a look at this:

as long as they are 17x7.5 with an offset between 37mm and 30mm they will fit. the difference that we have on the newer benzes is the lug hole size which on the newer ones is 14mm vs 12mm on the older benzes. so that may mean the wheels will bolt up but there might be some play around the lugs. not sure.
But an offset of 37 mm to 30 mm will work fine with 17x7.5 wheels.. anything else and you will probably have trouble.
for an 8" wide rim, you want an offset I believe between 34 and 28, 28 is really pushing it as far as I know because my wheels are 28mm offset and 8" wide and I had to do some work to get them to fit with 225/45 rubber.

Hmmm..
I think i'm gunna get them and try to make it work,
they are 18x8, whatever the stock CLK offset is, the tires are 225/40/r18 and i'm probably going to have my fenders rolled anyway so i think it will be ok.. i hope haha

the 38 mm offset would make them inset more. spacers could bring them out. you would probably use a 4 or 5 mm spacer, but they would have ot be hubcentric spacers as well.
