190e R.i.p.

So I rolled my baby Mercedes 190E. (Check out the pictures) What pissed me off was right after that the storm hit Iowa City and I got no attention. I'd be like:
-hey I just flipped my car and almost died!
-yeah, did you see what the storm did to the church?
-but I just FLIPPED my ****ing car and almost ****ing died!!!
-yeah, the Union is gonna be closed for a year because of the storm.
**** you Storm, I hate you.
The moral of the story is that I'll never drive anything but Mercedes Benz. The car is like a tank. And I'll put my seatbelt on when my mom tells me to. I flip the car going 65 mph and I walk out without one scratch. My baby sacrificed its life to save mine.
WEAR YOUR SEATBELT, had I not been wearing my seatbelt I'd either be through that windshield or I'd be paralyzed from my neck getting crushed when the car flipped.
Dear God thank you for giving us Mercedes Benz, Nice Boobies and Asses on girls.

I am now the owner of a white 1994 E320. What a noticable improvement.

YO! That really sucks man i know how you feel. When some idiot kid ran into the side of my Eclipse i was pissed and angry. Oh well, for every ending there are always a new begining. Do you still have your car? If so i need parts! I searching for the antenna housing. The plastic part that holds it on to the car.

W124's
Glad to see you're alright.

I was t-boned in a previous W124 I had and was surprised to see how strong it held up to the impact.

which reminds me, I should post video clips of the newest Fifth Gear episode where they test the built quality of the W124 Wagon. I'll get it uploaded!

I towed it to a junkyard the day after the accident. I did think about parting it out but I don't have room to keep it and couldn't have it sitting on the driveway.

I think the air bag didn't deploy because it wasn't a head on collision, unless it was expired. I know it was due for airbag inspection (1990)

Well when I rolled... kinda like a roller coaster ride, huge rush, I remember everything that happened it was like everything happened in slow motion. I was driving on a one lane highway going 65 mph, looked left for a little bit and my right front wheel got into the shoulder, I freaked out and over steered to the left and my rear tires gave and the tail started swinging around the right side. I tried to correct it by steering to the right and it swung the other direction and I went straight into a rather deep ditch. The front left wheel hit the bottom side ways and the car flipped over and BOOM landed on the roof and the hood which is heavy came down hard. I remember as I was sitting in my seat my seatbelt tightened and it felt like it pulled me back (I don't know if it does that or just my imagination). I was pretty much sitting and watching my car get destroyed, I was like ****, damn, with every bang I heard . And when it was all over I was just sitting upside down in shock, my cd player still playing the "Just Relax, Mexico CD" from target and when I undid my seatbelt I fell on my head
Does anyone know why the engine shuts off when the car rolls?

Most vehicles, including motorcycles, have rollover switches that cut fuel delivery in the event of a rollover, ususally at the pump. If this were not present, fuel would continue to pump and possibly flow from damaged lines or parts in the car and start or feed a fire.

Glad to see your mercede saved your life too. I flipped my 400E last November right after I just had it painted. It is a feeling that is hard to explain when you flip a car, but it is amazing how well these cars hold up to the forces. I had to shut my engine off, so I can't speak to the fact that yours shut down. I remember realizing that I was upsidedown, and I didn't know if I was in a river or what since it was night in the mountains... but when I let the belt go, i remember falling on my head and trying to find my way around the ceiling and the only light was the flashing red seatbelt light on the overhead light. I too will never drive anything but a mercedes after my accident.

Sounds like your upgrade is a great ride, lets see some pics. I love the w124, and so will you.
