More Power?
I was at my mechanic today and this friend of mine from work (has a W126, 1990, with the same engine as mine). his engine sounded different.
He told me to pop the hood open and told me to cut off the canister that is on the exhaust line right after the exhaust manifold (It is on the right hand side just towards the bottom of the engine). He said you don't need it in this country and its just a filter. By removing it you will gain some extra power as the car will breathe freely. True?
Thanks!
No its not the Catylitic converter. Thats under the car right? This one is accessible from the engine room.
By the way, 13 HP? Thats not bad either... I think I just lost my catalytic converter as well.

When I bought this baby 3 years ago, I took it to the mall and when I came back to the parking lot, there was this Russian guy with his son standing next to my car. They wanted to take pics with it and said it looked really nice.

W124s are the sooo sweeet!!!!!!They just make really crappy offers cuz they gotta re-sell the car. But once in a while you find a private buyer.
I remember a few months ago when I used to keep my car really dirty after a crash I had a couple of people at different occasions leave notes on the windshield asking me to contact them if I wanted to sell it!
Hey hope you had a good New Years mate. Had a quiet one myself with my wife and kids. Too many ********s on the road and **** getting rotten drunk causing trouble around the traps. Better to stay home and know everyone is safe !
Boring yes - but safer !
I think I just bought a set of monoblocks for my ride out of Germany.
17 x 7.5's ET35 off a W202. Woooo Hoooo !
