Another rim ID question...

Can anybody tell me what wheel this is? I love the more chiseled look and smaller diameter compared to the common 17in monoblocks.

If it weren't for the OZ Racing stamp on the rim's lip i would say that they were some older Rondell wheels because of the branched spokes . . .

Can't seem to find any matches for these wheels anywhere . . , but if i do i will let you know

They are most likely mid 80's rally wheels though

Heh, they look like they might just be old, not sure if they qualify as vintage just yet, i am not positive that they are that old anyway i just assume by the size and style, most newer rally and race wheels that i have seen are usually at least 17"

Yeah, that was the closest match i could find but his look a bit more chiseled to me, might be some older wheels as well

ME!?! lol

Anyways, they are just AMG Aero I Monoblocks. A lot of people mistake Aero I Hammer's vs Aero I Monoblocks.

Those wheels were more common on the W201 during its AMG days. I personally think they were too small for the W124.

It was a 16x7.5" wheel with a ET37, I believe. Actually, I'm pretty confident with the size.

Here's the Part # incase anyone wants to "try" to source them.

Those are monoblock I.

There was a member here with a 1995 nautical blue E320 with monoblock I, IIRC.

Thanks Chris, that's exactly what I wanted to hear. Like I said before, I like the sharper more chiseled look of them. Did they make Aero 1 in 17s? 16 is a nice size for a daily car that I want to keep soft and comfortable and cheap on tires though.

Does anybody have pics of an Aero I Mono vs. and Aero I Hammers so I don't confuse them in the future?

I'm too lazy to find a pic, but the Hammers had a flat face - the monoblocks were rounded out by the rim.

Those Hammers look damn good. I wish they were easier to find... my car needs tires and I don't want to spend money on new rubber for the ugly stock wheels.

I figured as much. I'd feel the same way if I had 'em.

I guess the hunt is on for my own set. The W124 fitment of these wheels have a +28 offset, correct? I saw a set that had +11 but that would munch up my fendes for sure.

I'm still bummed I won't be able to make that meet tomorrow. I at least want to see them in person! There's a big BMW/Euro meet in Pasadena on the 25th though if you're interested. I'll probably bring the M3.

I just called my guy at the dealer and he said that number is for some 14" standard 190 wheel. There are a couple of sets on 190rev though that I may try to pick up.
