Hmm... Looks like you had wiper arms, but ya right they do go the opposite direction than the US version of that model year. More like the 94-95 US version. Since we didn't get the 230 motor here later on. Could you tell us something about it. 4 cyl right? Single cam, twin, HP etc?

Terry, tisk tisk! That was a clean looking kombi!
I believe that it probably had the same 2.3L motor as the 190E. SOHC motor first seen in the w123 230 Coupes.

You mean the headlight wipers?
2.3 L (2299 cc) with a 95.5 mm bore and 80.25 mm stroke. Power output was 136 hp . K-jetronic fuel injection. SOHC. A bit low on power, no autobahn stormer, but smooth and economical. Most common version in the UK due to economy and insurance premiums. I was lucky as it had an MB Tex interior, most are cloth interiors and rarely come with alloys.

I know, I know. It was very clean, just a tiny bit of rust around the antennae on the rear quarter panel.
I had looked a a coupla 210 wagons what a pile of @**! compared to the 124.
Still, I have seen quite a few good 300/320's around so now for some serious hunting.

Okay, here's the 95' Kombi.
Mods include Sportline suspension, 17" wheels from 2003 CL with Toyo Proxis. (don't like em compared to the Bridgestones I had prior)
Silver w/Grey Leather.
All options except ortho seats.
162K miles.
Purchased in 1998 with 42K miles.
Can I be a member of the Kombi club now? Please?
Sorry I had to put the BIG unit in there.

danholm, is that your camper in the background? The dodge? That thing is awesome! I'd love to get one of those new vans but they don't have 4x4.
BTW, you are an Uber member of the Kombi club since you have two and those CL wheels look smart on the silver Kombi!

w124 wagon
Hey All,
Been reading the forum for awhile, last year I picked up a 95 e320 wagon in onyx grey w/ grey MB tex. The car has been well taken care of mechanically though the body shows the wear from the family that owned it previously. One piece that is missing is a cover or something that is on the interior of the rear hatch at the top. Is it just a cover or a light? I am guessing it got pulled off by the PO's kids. Anyone know the part number for this piece?
Thanks,
Jeremy

The wheels were a *****. New take off's from the dealer, and they were out of round with no warranty. Had to have two of them trued. (sp) I thought they look nice however. The fitment is not proper according to MB specs. But with the stick on wheel weights and "custom" alignment, they work out fine. Just try convincing the tire shops on what to do! Went through three shops before one of them concluded the out of round.
The camper is on a MB Sprinter chassis. Dodge here and MB branded outside of US. I have a MB grill conversion comming. MB V6 Turbo Diesel. No four wheel drive here, but the 2007 and newer have four wheel disks and traction control as well as ESP. I moderate a Sprinter section on the MB club site if your interested.

Chappy,
Your speakers come in yet? These PDF's may help with install. The instructions don't consider the 94-95 series with electric drivers outside mirror. Rear door and dash is easy. Fronts doors, another story.

Dan, thanks for the install details. I did receive the speakers (1 pair Rainbow SL120 and 1 pair SL100) last night. Since I didn't get home till late last night I didn't do anything other than open them up to check to make sure they weren't damaged in shipping.
Does the battery need to be disconnected prior to installation?

danholm... I was surprised that you hadn't yet got the MB grille for your van, but you'll have to post some pics once you get it restored to its true nature
Are you going to get the MB shift knob or SW?

I was going to leave it dodge badged, as I allways felt it was the engineering, not the star that I like about MB, and I didn't want to flaunt the whole thing. But after seeing a conversion, I changed my mind. It looks appropriate in MB clothing. The dodge grill is so huge and too much chrome. I'll have it together next week. Check the MB club forum in the Sprinter section for pics.
Okay, that's all I'll post here about the large Kombi, until there exists a Sprinter section on this forum.

This is going to get off topic with the sprinter talk. I better keep it short. Got the grill today. Lower valance out for painting. Steering wheel badge. ready to apply. The 07' and up have one type of shift knob, and thankfully, no dodge logo.
