![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
what suspension are you guys running?
my 81,000 mile car has currently
*Bilstein sport up front
*Bilstein Heavy duty shocks at rear
*C32 AMG front brakes
*225/45/18 front 18x8 AMG SL55 wheels
*265/30/zr18 rear 18x9.5 AMG SL55 wheels
*stainless Lines/front/rear
*Eibach springs front on thickest spring pads
*New Factory rear springs on Thickest spring pads,
no other suspension or brake mods
*LSD
It's broke so time to fix,I have a "few" extra HP over the stock 121 RWHP it pulled on the dyno earlier this year...
I am dealing with a 1995 E220 Cabriolet which is quite heavy in comparison to other w124's

So far H&R lowering springs, Bilstein HD's, Sportline swaybars, 18 x 8 ET35 AMG replica's with 225/40-18 Falken FK-452's all around with stock 3.07 gear.
Still tweaking, but G-TECH shows runnning low 5 second 0-60's and if I can find the room mid 13 / 100mph +/- 1/4's.
Suspension / tires very comfortable on the street, minimal front-rear weight transfer under acceleration, flat cornering.
It's a real thrill to chirp the tires on the one - two shift !!!!
Considering manual boost control to take it above the fixed seven pounds, but need track/dyno time to figure it out...also looking for a 260E 3.27 gear.
Getting too old for this stuff, but it keeps one young

When the weather cools a bit I'll confirm the suspension / tires on a drag strip.

Today's work
* Finish welding Greddy additional injector holders to my manifold
* wire in Split Second AIC1-A2H and download my programming to the controller
*Adjust boost to 11 psi
*install wide band oxygen sensor for my Air Fuel monitor
* street test
Next week
*Finish smoothing intercooler piping and paint
*finally make radiator mount brackets
* DYNO pulls
Week After
*Diff swap and find out how to glue this heavy cab to the ground...

What compression are you running ?
Curious to the results of the 11 pound boost.
You should like the Split Second unit.....extremely flexible to get the proper AFR's for boost conditions.
I'm thinking with my stock 9.2:1 CR, that 9-10 pounds should be no problem.

RBYCC,
I'm current using a friends '88 260E, I'm still working on my '94 E320.
I did notice that his car has some extreme take off 2nd to 3rd or especially from 60 to 80. Is the rear differential something I should consider for mine?
Is the '94's and '95 a lower differential for higher speeds?

[QUOTE=RBYCC;2391057]8.5:1 CR courtesy of a 3mm head gasket,I intend to run 13 pounds with this set up,my current fuel system is good for 330Rwhp but i would have to sacrifice a smooth idle to make full use of the 4 injectors so I am adding 2 more 44 lbs to feed all the cylinders from 2100 rpm up to 6500...at 13lbs I expect over 300RWHP...Here is my intake just finished welding and smoothing the greddy injectors holders

The 3.27 is the highest numerically that was available.
Remember the early cars had a four speed auto without any over drive gear.
I believe the later models with the five speed overdrive auto had ratios as high as 2.24 in the 400E/E420 and 2.65 in the E320/320 coupe.
For acceleration use the 3.27....for max speed / best MPG the best would be the 2.24

Range Rover Classic
I wonder what you could eke out with a 300D running 2.24 gearing (all in the name of science) and perversely how long would it take you to reach sixty?
