I kind of didnīt. It was not supose to go this far. It just snowbolled. I was just suposed to tune the engine a little bit and put in a manuell transmission.

Definitely it will be. I look forward to the final outcome.
I know all about the snowballing effect though. I once bought a car, and thought I would put a nice audio system in it, and maybe some rims. Anyway, it has 2 extra cylinders, racing gearbox, 1.5 way LSD, coilover suspension, bucket seats etc etc... oh... and no audio system in it ironically...
Obviously your project snowballed a bit further though

you are seriously insane, i give you mad props for having gigantic ***** to take on a job like this, especially since there are nearly no after market parts available, and everything has to be made from scratch

I see you have sponsor names on the bonnet, that for when you race it? ..... Are you going to split and widen the front bumper or just fit it that way?

i have a question for you stefan. the roof and the rear quarter panels are spotwelded in place. but how did you attach the carbon panels? and does this not affect the strength?
I try to stay patient wile i wait for updates great work

that sucks. I'm sure the rollcage is strong enoug. so you don't know how the carbon fibre parts are attached? alright. thanks anyway. I was just wondering, in case I might do a project like this in the future. I'm pretty sure it is glued in place. nowadays even car's chassis' are glued in stead of welded. I've seen that in volvo Belgium my friend.
so if you have ANY updates, even the small ones, please don't keep us waiting. because everytime I open this thread, I just start at the beginning, and I'm mesmirised.
will you use the dtm frontspoiler? or will you make a carbon fibre replica out of it? I suppose you will...
keep on going friend

So, I've done it once more. read from the beginning to this page. and there's some things that caught my eye this time.
like the fact that a lot of pics don't work on the first couple of pages, and that I've probably never seen them since I discovered this thread long afterwards.
do you have more pics or info on that sliding throttle you will be using? cause i never heard of them...
and altough I really (and I mean REALLY) like your car, I think it's a shame the new HUGE fenders are round. and not shaped like the original 500e fenders. that's a more rectangular design. still dude, this is a monster of a car..
and I abselutely love it...

I donīt have any more pics right now. Every BMW M-series have this on there cars.
Some times you need to make it pratical... the orginal shape of the fenders doesenīt work som good when you are droping the car through section it 20cm.
