New Projector Upgrade for Enzo, Zorro's Benzo!

Hey everyone,

Ok, so for the longest time I wanted to do a projector retrofit for my car and even though I am buying a C63 in the spring-ish, I couldn't put this off!

I ordered both style of lights from Ebay and want your help deciding which lights to go with. I am leaning towards the chrome/clear as they look the most factory of the two, but the vader option is sorta pimped too.

Pics

Enzo

I will also be putting the eyelids on the new lights to make the "94-95" style blend properly with my non-facelifted hood...

Lights chopped in

Or take apart the lights and paint them body color

Now once I've chosen and installed the lights, if the output of the light is not a PERFECT cutoff, I will be doing a projector swap. Glare is ghey.

Thoughts? Comments? Questions?

I also chopped the new style Brabus Bullitt grille that I will custom make for the car. Both lights for comparison...

Now just looking at all the photoshop work you have done, i had an idea. How good would it look/be to fit the lens from those oftermarket lights in to the euro ones and the cristal clear glass too. Just a thought
*IMHO* that would look great too , but i have no idea if they are interchangable. (glass that is) the lens and the body without a doubt will have too be modified.
Just a thought...

I'm 50/50, either one will look okay. If it were purely a looks thing though, I personally would stick with your current headlights. Obviously the projector-style lights will give you better output when you're said and done.

Please Zorro, don't do the grille. IMHO, it really doesn't look good.

black for both, but take them apart and paint them body color. it looks like it blends better. i can't decide if i'm a fan of the bullitt grille though. the actual brabus car though is unbelievable.

of the two, black is better, but i really don't like how the silver lenses contrast so much with the black surround, and think your current setup is sleeker than both options...
for your car i would go with these smoked ones, they would be perfect:

oh yeah, the brabus grille is hot, but the photoshops look too much like a 300C, with the new headlights!

Awww efff, Zedstyle, the smoked ones are the newest and 3rd version of the lights and I like them but I wasn't going to buy 3 sets at once to try them out lol.

Besides I can smoke the clear ones myself....hmmmm....

i know! if i get a set they will be smoked, but i'm waiting to see what kind of cutoff you get with HID's.... don't have loot to be experimenting with lights! smoked are the best of both worlds though, you should hit them up! i don't like the black, the more i look at them, he more the silver bits stick out..

Cutoff is WAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY (did I say way?) better than what I have now and its not even that bad now.

They are 95% what proper HID cutoffs look like

So the projector can work with h7 HIDs? That is promising... I want 6000k for main beam, and 3500k Amber HID for the fogs!

I like the black, but they seem to be just a little flat compared to the gloss of the car - might consider painting them as previously mentioned or tinting them - perhaps from the inside like some other member did thier tail. Additonally I like the brabus grille - though it may go better with a chrome grill. Just a thought.
