ZorroAMG's custom grille for sale
Hey guys, I am selling the custom billet grille from my car. As it is right now, it fits the 86-93 grille surround without any cutting but will fit the 94-95 W124, W201 and W202 with some minor trimming.

$180+ shipping. It cost $290 plus custom cutting/fitting, painting and installing.
You will want to color match it to your car and it is installed by epoxy or hot glue.

not much at all..trim top, bottom and sides as the grille opening is a little smaller, then glue and voila! it's the perfect curvature horizontally and vertically.

Well, as far as the marketing material stated when I bought the grille, it SAID Billet, I am not making this up.
Whatever it is, it's a cool grille. Buy it or stop pooping on my thread

Expanded metal is more like a stamped sheet / cut out....
Regardless...........Still a unique looking grill

...welded sometimes yes, but most typically billets of any metal are machined, and most typically by a CNC mill or lathe. The word "billet" is more of a marketing tool than anything else these days, particularly with the explosive popularity of custom choppers and hot rods via Discovery Channel.
Now then....someone buy this poor, starving artist's grill so he can eat and you and your car can be cooler looking!

no worries brutha...my entire college-time menu was pretty much limited to ramen, generic mac-n-cheese, bake potatoes and chicken breasts. Haven't eaten much ramen since then.
BTW: I haven't forgotten about modeling a billet grill of my own design...just been busy. The model is nearly done.

ramen with saltine crackers is the bomb...lol...
As for the grill...I found the same material at a hardware store for $15 for a 6'x4' sheet.

for reference, the grill I am designing is made from two pieces, joined in the middle. Each half starts from a BILLET of 6061-T6 aluminum alloy that measures 14" X 11" X 3". It's no joke...which is why I slowed my roll on getting it done. It will be a signature piece, but an expensive one too.
Now then...BACK ON TOPIC...

People, I am in NO hurry to sell this grille. I WANT it to go to someone that appreciates our beloved W124s and if I have to hang on to it for one of you until you can afford it (like STLe320 and his lights
) I will.
