that's only from the flash, I have the exact same exterior/interior and it is nothing like that in the flesh, but it certainly looks really tacky due to the flash, beutiful and classy combo if you ask me.

check one out in 3d and you will see what I mean.

That's TEX for sure. But in an older car they seem to look better. That mileage seems too low

Old style seats makes me wonder if he's a Bull*****ter. The seats in the sedan changed from those to the horizontal stripes in 90. Unless because it's a 2.8 or the seats are MB-Tex? Thoughts?

As long as we're being picky, that car doesn't have a "Moonroof" either.

Hmm.. I have a W124, 1994, with MBTex stock. Exactly the same as in the pics. I would say he's not full of ****, just yet .. No idea about the US though haha the MBTex is no good. They don't wear at all (my car has 30000miles, first owner from new), but I can't stand them. Leather seats are muchos better!

I love when auto ads mention features like power steering, am/fm radio, power door locks, tachometer....

c'mon it's a mercedes and it isn't like we are back in the 60's here

Actually my 68 has all those features.

Actually after looking at the car more, it has the >90 wood trim on the doors too...I guess the mb-tex seats still kept the ugly old pattern.

Chappy if you look closely at the front view on the roof you can see the leading edge of the sunroof...

Chappy said "moonroof" which is not a sunroof... moonroofs tend to be glass. The only w124's that I have ever seen in this country that do not have sunroofs were all grey market cars.

What's so ugly about the MB-tex pattern?

Yep....I was referring to the fact that the sunroof is not glass.

My wagon is the 2nd car I've had with MB Tex....I like it better in the wagon, but like the leather in my CE. I guess I like it both ways!

I don't think the pattern changed as my '95 has the same pattern. I like it fine (it was the same pattern in my '85 300D). It's VERY easy to clean and stays in excellent shape for a LONG time...

I'd have to do some research, but I'm not sure leather was even an option on the 2.8....(perhaps as a special order?)

Besides the pattern...I prefer the MB Tex. Less to worry about and from my experience it's a little softer.

My neighbor just bought his wife a new C300 Sport for x-mas and it has the latest version of MBTex and I tell you that it feels amazing.

Only the 300E had that pattern you're thinking about and leather standard, the 300E 2.8 models still had the 1989 300E seat design and MB Tex.
