W124 wiring diagram needed
Hi,
Does anyone have a wiring diagram with wire colour codes for the W124, the "36" chassis to be specific?
I have a '92 500E with a short which sometimes keeps the window regulator in the front right door constantly energised - gets hot and makes clicking noises.
I am trying to trace out the wires going under the backseat etc.
There was collision damage on the right side in the past, but having stripped everything out of the car, there is no obvious wiring damage.
Can someone e-mail me the correct diagram or tell me where I can download it?
Thanks, this would be of immense help.

Thanks, man.
My thought too.
It's not actually me who is doing it, but a buddy. He says he has substituted for another switch and same problem.
My local collectible car store just sold the only W124 factory manual they had and MB dealership wants $195 for one!!!
So... I'm looking for alternative sources for info.
Are there reliablesites to go to where I can pay for a download?

Two options I know of you can get the manuals on cd from MBUSA.
Or go to alldata.com and sign up on the DIY side.
Others here may (and probably do) have other options you can look into...
Good luck in your search...

Hi Darkhand;
Joined Alldata - looks good.
They had the diagrams I need, I think.
I'll try them out. Sure helps when you know where to look.
Much thanks!!!

Thanks everyone!
People on here have really come forward to help.
I now have something to work with. An MB mechanic (non-hostile, friend type)said it is probably not the wiring, but the control module of the "Comfort System" under the back seat - $2200 !![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
This is a 500E "issue" after a collision, if window was in operation.
However, good news is that it can usually be repaired.
Well, fingers are crossed, Thanks again to all, I'll let you know.

Thanks to those who sent diagrams. I was able to determine that MB wiring was OK and have discovered unknown wiring of someone hacking in to module to install aftermarket security sys. Oh, boy!

Thanks to all those who helped me out.
My car has had all the wires I was able to ID as 'alien', cut out, and wiring returned to MB specs.
It now works flawlessly!
