OVP Relay, Buzzing like crazy causing irradic idle?

Hey guys Ive been plagued with the common OVP relay surging idle issue. I bought a used one on ebay as I noticed when I wiggle the relay it causes a major change in idle and gives me what seems to be the correct idle. So when i bought my new one i cleaned the contacts on the cable and plugged it in but the same thing happened, when I wiggle it the idle changes randomly. So i left it at that and whenever the car would crank and not start up i would know to pop the hood and wiggle the relay. After my 600mile drive to Penn State I noticed the car start to idle low again and give me poor acceleration so when I gassed up I popped the hood and the thing was buzzing like crazy as if the relay coil didnt have enough pull to hold the contact? So i wacked the sucker a few times and the buzz stopped, started again, then stopped and once it stopped the correct idle returned. Has anyone had this happen? Im thinking some contact cleaner or something? or even reducing the spring tension inside the relay that holds the contact on one pole so the coil has enough juice to hold the contact? I'm just pissed that the replacement part I bought could be faulty, either that or its the wiring but I played with that over the summer and the wires look fine, I also went down wiggling each wire seeing if i could find a intermittent connection. Ideas?

Ehh I had it in my hand as I removed the plastic holder, and the sucker vibrates....I mean I can feel it? or do you mean that the fuel pump relay can cause the OVP to buzz?

I've read on here that a fuel pump relay going bad can cause the OVP to buzz and sometimes cause a no-start condition.

the only thing i see in common with ovp and fuel pump is they share the same power source 30 circuit, but anything is possible. Sounds like a bad relay(ovp) if the abs light flashes on when the relay acts up is a good sign the relay is bad

my wife cracked the oil pan on my 86300e and drove it until it locked up tight, right before xmass. it only had 80,000 miles on it, and ran great
