The thing about my Mercedes...it is a great car, it is quiet, right now I have the idle control valve unplugged, so after a minute of me having to idle it manually, it runs better than ever....there is part of me that wants to get rid of it (the cheap side of me) and the side of me that tells me to keep it, esp since my SUV gets wayy worse gas mileage and gas costs an arm and a leg....but I think that for the most part it runs great....also Rio, I changed my oil about 1200 miles ago...changing the oil on a 260e is the simplest car ever btw

Dude, be careful on the Platinum spark plugs, there have been postings here regarding how they could potentially cause issues with the w124. I know my CE ate through a set right quick, but has had a set of Bosch Coppers on for a very long time.

Just buy simple non-platinum plugs. I used AC Delcos (it was all they had and I had the day off) and they worked great. I think it cost me about 12 bucks.

Rio- just buy some standard Bosch, NGK, Autolite, whatever. Save your money for gas. Did you ever get that alternator and battery issue fixed?

The Pulsar plugs sound like they have sound concepts behind them, but that does not always translate into real-world results. I'll keep my eye on them, thanks.
