Coupe Ducktail Redux...
At last it has arrived...
And alas tis a fiberglass replica, but an excellent fit and finish unit.
So the Hay-Hem-Gee rear spoiler will go great with my Fald-Ex front spoiler.
I know I'm violating the rules of Chris D Pham about brand name only or else you're a poser....
Maybe if I go fast enough nobody will notice ?
Contacted the seller and ask him to rebate my freight for a deceptive description...especially since the part bears the Merc Star and HWA part numbers...
Probably would have bought it if I knew it was a replica...

Sounds good! Any plans to bolster the fibreglass with resin or something else to ensure it doesnt get damaged? Also, I'm excited to see pictures! Have you decied what you are going to do with it paint-wise?

Yeah, if the listing didn't say it was a replica, and if it has MB part numbers and logos on it, it's not just a replica... it's a counterfiet. I think it's totally fair for you to demand a partial refund for that. You should write this into your feedback on ebay for the guy so that other buyers know!

Using the phrase "Brand new old stock", implies as NOS always does a genuine part.
The part has the Merc Star logo along with the correct "HWA" prefix AMG part numbers imbossed on the back of each piece.
Indicative that an original part was used for a mold.
Use of any corporate registered logo is trademark infringement and fraud....

Seller refunded the $99.00 shipping from Hong Kong.
It's not a bad piece.....I'll need to fit it and paint it.

There was a delay since one of the corners somehow was broken off so we had to fix it... It looks good though!

Center Star only is what I was going to do, so now that I got approval from the "cappo di tutto W124" I'll proceed...
Deciding if I want to paint it myself which means i'll have to wait for a bit warmer weather...

No different then if the kit was installed when the car was new by AMG.
AMG offered body kit installs without having to get the full or partial performance package.
Did you install the Star?...a little bit of chrome bling on a car like yours will make it stand out more...
It's real and it's AMG....unlike my repro WAMG install !!!
