Where not to buy "Bosch Euros" My Euro Parts.com

I thought I would warn members about "Bosch Euros" sold over the internet
by distributor in Florida... MyEuroParts.com claims to be selling original Bosch Euros for our 124's These guys also call themselves KW Parts of Pompano Beach Fl. or Charlotte NC also using other company names apparently...

I purchased the Euros only after taking to polite and professional sales person Kevin who assured me that these were Bosch manufactured Euros and that they would be personally inspected BEFORE shipping as requested. I paid $532 for the pair with Bosch turn signals included.

After market crap / sent in huge double boxes, but poorly packaged just the same. One saran wrapped around a cardboard base with a Bosch sticker stuck to it after they taped it shut, the other in a Bosch box but with the incorrect part # on it. None of them with any Bosch identifier on lens or housing. Huge gaps in the sealing door when closed, cheap wiring too.
Clearly not Bosch manufactured....

"Customer Service" only parrots what the owner forces them to say and refuses to get on the phone also maintains that they are Bosch of course and will not accept any liabilty. I returned them costing $78 that I will have to eat that but had my credit card company charge back the rest. The crooks credited me only $388 of the $532 even after I paid the return shipping.

Words to the wise - beware of claims by internet sellers who are dishonest and will definitely lie and cheat you !! If a deal appears too good to be true it probably is...

KATMAC sells TYC which is a high quality Asian made product, much less then the Bosch and similar performance with equal fit and finish.

I bought the TYC lights from KATMAC a few years ago. VERY HAPPY with the product.

Buy the real deal in OE MB boxes from Speed Autoteile in Berlin. Wholesale prices but shipping nullifies any of that savings.

You'll take it in the can with their shipping but you already knows how that feels... And they stand by their product and actually have great customer service.

MB parts carry a 1 year warranty also.

I too have the TYC's, although I doubt the fit and finish are as nice as the real Bosch E500E units.

I have had no problems with them at all, so the TYC's are a great value.

Actually Pete...only Hella made the Euro E500E lites...the insides of them are chromed as opposed to the regular W124 units which are gray inside. And now, the only way to get E500E lites are from MB direct; Hella no longer offers them in their boxes for the aftermarket...which sux. Anyway.

But, yes definitely, some aftermarket units like TYC do the job just fine and aren't of poor quality at all for the money you save over OE. Some though, aren't worth it and are complete junk.

Thanks docpaul for sharing your experience on that firm and their lites. The community needs info like this.

Good to know. I thought Bosch made the factory units.
