Are you actually considering either this mod or the engine swap in your other thread, or are you just pissing in the wind and seeing what comes back to you?

Just out of curiosity. Not trying to be hostile.

Either would be very expensive.

don't think the 211 brakes will fit with my 210 e55 wheels. but if they will i would rather have them than the sl600 brakes

I think almost anything bigger than stock is going to look amazing. For the price though, the c32 brakes seem to be the way to go. They may not be as big as you want, but theyre a definite improvement over factory.

As for both mods, keep us all posted. Everyone here looovvees pictures.

you might want to check over at the 500ecstasy forum.. there was someone over there (omegabenz) i think had some w211 AMG brakes for sale! from what i understand they need to be modded to fit the w124 but it can be done! (he had them on his 500e) ..for a w124 i still think you cant beat the late r129 (500/600sl) brakes upgrade! direct bolt on for the v8.. little more work for the inline 6..waaay more bang for the $$

Figure out with engine swap you'll be doing first and THEN talk about possibly doing a E55 8-Piston brake swap.

I don't know if it's just me but I would rather invest in Brembo's or 6-Piston 030 Brakes.

I heard some issues regarding the 8-Piston AMG's on W124s...

I mean you won't really gain that much by spending all that money, just do r129 brembos and ate rears (334mm front 300mm rear and might stilll need some custom brackets). Think about all the unsprung weight your adding. That pic is from omegabenz's car, and I think he reverted to the 129 setup. You don't really need all that though, you should look into a E420 brake setup with good pads, fluid, cryotreated rotors its a direct bolt up. More stopping power than you can use with the rubber you can put on the 300CE. E420, or wagon brakes, both have vented rear and similar sized fronts, I think thickness is like 3mm different.

124 320ce amg widebody twin turbo, the nail
r171 slk55amg brakes fit front and rear, straight on, no messin with anything, 345 front with 6pot and 330 rear with four pot.

e55amg komp rears fit with a washer (1.5mm?) to center them and s600 disks, no messin.
