Do Newer model rims fit on a w124

I have a 1986 300E I want to start to customize the car and i am going to begin with a tire and wheel package. i have seen abunch of rims for newer e classes from 00- and up but i was wondering if these rims will fit, and i am also wondering if any s class rims will fit on the car. is there any place i could look at a list of what size wheels will fit on the car.

thanks

Tirerack.com lets you browse and view wheels for a specific model-year car.

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Look

at the selection at tirerack a site sponsor.Includes proper lugs and proper offsets.Email LUKE and he will give you suggestions. Some w210 rims fit but you need to check offsets and clearances.
Also look and ask what these guys have selected, some pretty nice choices

I found rims that are lorinser 18" the guy says that they are
245 x 45 x 18 Dunlops
are these to big for a 1986 w124 or do i have to go down in size, if so how far down

What's the offset? What's the rim width?

lots of cars
Those lorinsers are either 44 38 et or a really low offset and are probably 18x8.5 i have a set of 19x9 rs1 lorinsers with a 38 offset and they barely fit. You can also get lorinser spacers. 245 40 fits but 45 is too tall. You can probably fit 235 40 all around.
