Are your tyre sizes the same all round? Are the tyres worn by a similar amount? Also check that your front wheel bearings aren't loose.

If all checks out so far then remove the front sensors and clean the abs ring and retry.

I posted this question a while back on another forum and the responses said it is not nothing to worry about. On some of the w124 models, the shaft when driving at speed tends to press against an ABS wire or something which causes it to illuminate at certain positions of the wheel.

If it happens again, you can actually replicate it by positioning the wheel in a position. Hold it there and watch as it stays on, then turn the wheel and it will turn off again.

Unless you want to take off the steering column, I wouldn't worry about it

Your cruise control also may not work if your wheel tire combos are different overall diameter. At least that is what happened to me once in the past. The dealer installed a new cruise control and it still didn't fix the issue. Then they swapped the wheels and everything was fine. It could have been an expensive learning experience, but I was lucky and the dealer didn't charge me for the unnecessary new cruise mechanism.
