Bosch Spark Plugs

So, I ordered Bosch spark plugs online via Autohausaz.com and they sent me too different kinds and I'm wondering if they are technically the same or if they sent me them at error.

they sent me three Bosch Super F8DC4

and then five Bosch SuperPlus F8DC+

did the Bosch SuperPlus superceed the Bosch Super?

according to the bosch website

the F8DC4 is the OE plug with the Nickel chromium ground electrode

the superplus has the Yttrium-enhanced copper core center electrode

they sent you 2 different kinds..both gaps are the same at .032

i would pick the superplus because of the copper core

in my e420 I have the platinums 4,

I did have the superplus before and it worked great

Chris

Get eight plugs with the same specification....primarily the OE plug.
The supplier should realize their mistake.

Running two plugs even with slightly different characteristics could potentially lead to overall performance problems.

Possibly not immediately, but more likely as the miles accumulate !

Go for the OE plug. All 8...I agree with Ed.

jmang, Platinums are GARBAGE for our cars, you'll benefit from replacing them with OE's

After more research

I would use the Super F8DC4

I am going to switch to those in a couple of weeks.

They are the factory originals

be careful when removing the wires from the sparkplugs.
those things are pretty damn brittle as i found out the hardway.

Plugs, caps, rotors, & wires may solve your problem.
Be sure to gap the plugs.

I thought the Bosch plugs are already pre-gapped?

They are. You'll be good to go with new wires and once you get all 8 plugs the same PN.

Good luck man!!

They may be pre-gapped, but always check prior to install.
Easy to move .001 " +/- in shipping and handling.

Never trust factory gap. They are rarely perfect out the box.

That way if you still have a problem, & lets hope you don't;
you can rule out the plugs, wires, distributor caps, & rotors.
