Easy to see the concave shape especially in the area where the three pointed star usually resides !!
The W124 had a less exagerated ducktail then the C124 due to the slightly different sheet metal of the trunk lid.

AMG HAMMER
I have that magazine, You are looking at a duck tail.All I know is that when I figured out what I had, I looked up info and found that Harmut Feyh was AMGs owner and built the Hammer, I called him at Renntech and he told me that he recalls mine being the first US built Hammer.Real nice guy to take the time to take my call. The engine is called Hammer and it was used in a few different cars. The 124 was the best performer and I THINK thats why it got to get the Hammer name. I have read that there where only 13 real ones built.I will call Hartmut back after the engine is in place as h told mee there where a few things to modify from stock for better performance. Hopefully about by April
