New Toy, New to MB

I just picked up a 1991 300ce in a trade for an older vw, just got it all cleaned up and still have a couple of minor issues to address but other than that its seems to be a great car. Don't know if I'll keep it or not, only time will tell.

The goods:
1991 300ce 118k miles
Euro head lights
Some unknow kit (anyone have any idea?)
Brabus 17" wheels
clear corners

The quick too do list:
replace front and rear glass,
new tint
replace or rework the rear spoiler
new front tires

1994 E420
very nice

check to see if the wiring harness is replaced (they tend to go bad in this model)

do a routine tuneup (plugs, wires, oil, etc)

and if all is well

put the sportline suspension on it...it will make the ride and the drive..wayyy better

Nice looking coupe, there will be no going back to VW now.

I'm just a bit concerned about the gap between the bottom of the front grill and the bumper as I've never seen that before. It also looks light the hood needs to be adjusted as it is sitting high on the passenger side.

The fogs from the older R129 SL's will fit that bumper. Thats actually an SL-esque style kit.

See:

And I believe 92-93 500E or 94 E500 lights will fit too:

Aren't the C32 fogs the same part as well?

I would add new wheels to your list, no offense but those look hideous on that car

Thanks for all of the input. I am down with the fog lights but i am having problems finding replacement glass. I talked with two different companies in town and neither said they could get it. Has anyone else ever had to deal with it. I also had the car randomly stall on me the other day. I really like the car so far but i am worried about it mechanically. I am going to start to tear it apart this weekend and see what happens. I am interested in replacing the hood with the newer post face lift hood, is there anything weird about the swap? i found one not too far from me for cheap.

I also noticed the grille alignment- it doesn't seem to be parallel to the bumper on the bottom.

And to correct an earlier post- the 1991 300ce does not have the wiring harness problem that the '93 and up models do. So you shouldn't have to worry about that.

The body kit (or at least the front bumper) appears to be the Erebuni kit. So with that knowledge, you may be able to find fogs to fit it.

And with respect to the ducktail spoiler, it appears to be missing one of the end pieces. I assume this is why you want to rework it?

i like the rear and side pieces (look to be AMG replicas), but i don't like that front bumper, personally...
i think a drop and hood alignment will work wonders for this car, it looks like it's in great shape!

I have the other end cap for he spoiler but the entire peice doesn't fit right, the ends are not lined up with the tail lights and the main issue is that the ends of the spoiler does not touch the trunk but it does in the middle, i almost think that its for a sedan. The biggest issue is it looks like the previous owner put it on with gorilla glue so i can just remove it.
