You guys think 18x9.5" in the rear is even remotely possible lol? Wheels says offset is 46. With the right spacer, you guys think it could work with the fenders rolled or just too wide?

Fingers crossed may be picking them up tomorrow. I know 18x8.5 will work in the front without having to roll the fenders, but the rear should need to be rolled.

With a 44mm offset in the front, will a 5mm spacer be enough?
And for the rear, what do you think I should need (spacer again) to make em work?

Last question -- at what point will I need new bolts?

Yes, I've tested it.

I would recommend 5mm spacers. Also you can run a 255/35/18 and 225/40/18 in the front.

Depending on the wheel you will need 50mm bolts for the front with spacers. 39mm bolts for the rear if you don't run spacers or 50mm bolts in the rear with spacers.

Make sure you can get 6-7 full turns out of them. Also, they need to be ball seat not conical.

Nevermind! Just got a call back from someone who had a set of 18x8 with brand new tires for $650 shipped in good condition. I decided to go with those for peace of mind. I currently have 17x6.5 so the 8s IMO are wide as it is. Heck...6 months down the road I can always sell off two and find some 18x8.5/18x9...

What I'm understanding about the Monoblock II's are that they are pretty solid depreciation-wise. Shouldn't lose any value on them assuming nothing bad goes wrong.

The Offset is 44mm all over so I'll buy 4x5mm spacers and be done with it!

After about 3-4 months of scouring the net looking for the right ones I've finally dropped the ball!

Thanks everybody for your input it is much appreciated and has helped me greatly.

I'll be putting up that 18x8 et31 monoblock II for sale soon so if anybody needs one let me know.

remember those wheels are probably designed for a 14mm lugbolt.

Okay thanks for the info.

Anybody got any thoughts on locking lug nuts? I think I would be most comfortable making sure I have at least an extra theft-deterrent. Any particular brands/special stuff I need to know or any should do?

Also, anybody recommend a particular place to get my 5mm spacers from?

I have wheels that require 14mm but im using 12mm bolts. I haven't had a problem with them yet. You don't need spacers on the rear but if you want to can get them i guess. You can get H&R spacers on ebay for $52. The seller is located in ca so they get there in 1-2 days. Make sure you re balance your used wheels before putting them on.

Yes. I won't be putting them on until I get my rear control arms replaced though as are causing wear on the outside of my tires...Once that is done I'll get them balanced and get an alignment then I'll be ready to rock them

If you say I shouldn't need spacers on the rear then I'll try without. I can always put them in at a later date if I need to.

I see spacers that are like $20 VS the H&R ones for $50....what is the difference? Quality or am I paying for a brand name?

I would say the quality, I trust anything H&R and have been using their adapters and spacers for years. I had them on a e36 m3 and my mustangs and they always fit properly. Don't just but any 5x112 spacer since they have to be hub centric.

I'll get H&R then!

Thanks for all the input guys. I'll bump the thread once I get everything all on and set up in a few weeks.

my 17" Monoblocks look the same

It's not the 18s, and it's not the 245s. My 17s with 215s look exactly the same. I've thought about rolling the fenders to make it look less obvious, but I think the front bumper will still allow it to show more width than I like. I thought the 17s were 35 offset, I could be wrong.
