I really need to know what hose goes here and if anyone has a valcum dirgram for a w124.I idle perfect sometimes and then sometimes it runs funny then gets good again. I feel that this missing hose is the key, also sometimes I have a vibration when i do 80 on the free way. Sometimes it stops and goes glass smooth to only come back in time. I put four new tires on it and that helped but still have vibration in streering wheel. I feel that it is the ball joints because if I stop really hard I can hear a pop from the left front side. I have only head this twice in the 4 months i have had the car. My many ques is about the hose and valcum charts.

Trace its driving me crazy please help

you can fix that easy.... just find a small thin hose and put it there... but you have to take off the whole air filter box to drive the hose through and put the other end on the fuel regulator or whatever the heck that little sh!it is.... mine was old i guess and it has gotten so hard that it just snapped lol so my dad found me some nice soft hose and i just put there and made it long enough to go under the air filter... but you have to take the thing off otherwise you wont be able to take it through and wont know were it goes too....
and i don't know if it makes any difference but am anel like that and want everything to be perfect... that's just me

good luck, its easy just finding the small hose might be tough but you'll find it am sure

^ Correct. My car did not have it either when I bought it. I had an indy add a hose for me. It attaches to the other end of the fuel pressure regulator. That won't be your shakey idle. Have replaced all the rest of the breather hoses?

The best way is to take the car to a shop that can smoke test it. I was charged $30 and they can tell you with absolute certainty if you have any vacuum leaks. Saves alot of time and hassle trying to search.

I am just the type of person that everything on my car has to be perfect. SO i will see if i can find the fuel reg it connects to. When i first buy a car I go threw it with comb and try to fix all the little stuff first. I dont think it will fix everything but i think it will fix some isues. the Fuel reg changes fuel by speed,so some problems with pick of variations would make since. Its not huge just if its a mercedes it should drive and run like a mercedes. This is my first benz and so far I love the car, i have owned 6 bmws 1vw,and 4 audis but first benz. I will post about out come of my hose connection. Next quest the vibrations any clue about a come and go vibration. Could it be the ball joints going bad since i heard a pop from the left front. This was twice in four month when i had to stop really hard. After the first time vibration got really bad,got new tires it got better. The rims where not bent, the 2nd hard stop with a loud pop from the left front made the car ride glass smooth. Now the vibrations are coming back slowly and very light only at 80 to 100 mph. I drive fast LOL. Thank for the quick replys any help would be welcomed.

Well i fixed the hose today and sealed the timing cover the rotor cap was so coroted that there was no cooper showing on it anymore. I am broker than broke so couldnt buy new wires and rotor so i cleaned them up really good. I idles very smooth now and has a lot more power. When i first started after cleaning rotor and plugs and fixing hose it was chugging and blowing black smoke out. Had to run it forever to get all the crap cleaned out. I thrn had to adjust the Bosch fuel mixture, who every had it before didnt tune it up and just made the fuel very rich so i would run good. When i get my income tax back I am getting new plugs new wires new fuel filter, change the transmission fluid and get new tie rods and ball joints. I got this car from a buy here pay here lot, and while it is dependable it doesnt ride not run like a benz should. I just hope it doesnt turn into a nightmare from hell. It is going to sound crazy but the ride has something to do with how the engines running. If it runs smooth it will ride smooth if its not feeling good that day it will ride bad. I love the car but the car gives me a headacke sometimes, has to many nickel and dime probs. It looks like a new car though and when its running good its the best. I wish i could just take it to R.B.M of atlanta and say here my check book make it new again. But im poor so thats not going to happen soon,B.T.W does anyone know of a good Indy shop in Atlanta that is cheep and does good work.

I know it doesnt have a maf,but thanks I took the intake all and cleaned all runners so everything is clean. I think it might need new plug wires judging from the condishion of the rotor the other day when I cleaned it.
