climate fan problems.

Well I decided to change my climate fan/ blower motor not sure what you guys call it, but its not getting any current. I was sure that was the problem I checked all the fuses and those are good. How do I go about testing if the relays are any good. Where can I find which relay goes to where. Could it possibly be that the switch on the dash is the one that is messed up. (It all stopped working when my younger sister started messing with the buttons.) The owners manual doesn't really say anything Im not sure what to do. I am documenting all of this to make a thread. I hope it all works out well thanks every one in advance.

Have you checked the strip fuse that sits under the hood on the left side inner fender?

Just smile and hug your sister, then make sure only one button is pressed in on both the function switch and the blower switch.

If that doesn't solve it, do a search (this site, mercedesshop, benzworld, etc) as the blower motor and regulator can be tested with a VOM at the connector behind and above the brake booster. The main blower fuse is not the one in your picture. Also you cannot assume "good" by appearance. It has to be tested electrically.

Did all functions of the test procedure pass (is the climate unit providing variable control voltage to the bolwer/regulator?) If you have that, the ground, and 12 volts, then the problem lies in the blower/regulator. You can also test run the blower at full speed from the same connector.

so I purchased a regulator, and the car I took it off I tested it and it was working, and now that I come to install it on my car its not working. Where else could the problem be.? this is frustrating.

So what is this fuse for?

Any luck with your original problem?
