So guys tell me whats the best muffler to get for our cars? I know alot of guys will say things like the Remus and such but they are too costly for me and can't hardly find them. I have AMG badges on my ride and want to sound Like I have performance under my hood too! I asking about mufflers like magnaflow, flowmaster, borla, gibson, etc..... (won't be hard to find and can be cheap on ebay). Is it a plus to remove the resonator on our cars?

Best idea? Take off the poseur AMG badges, and get a flowmaster if you can't afford a remus. Besides, Remus is good, but it's really just a cat back exhaust, no major technology there....you can get good sound from the others you mentioned...

Mufflers
If you six the center resonator you might like the sound, it will be a bit loud, with no performance gains. As far as what Zorro says, take it for what it's worth, he's a beer star! Acting!!

I'm not poor or anything just that Remus isn't the easiest for me to find, and I was thinking its a scarse and harder to first and then pricier item like how quality bodykits are for our cars. So what does the remus go for anyways? I would like my CE to sound like it can kick some *** if it wanted to (even if it can't)!!!

HAHA I never said you were poor, they ARE expensive...sorry about the off topic BS 500ER brought to this thread btw..
I got a great deal on my remus back in the day but I think they are around $800 new....would not have got it if I didnt get a great price. PLUS I don't like how far my muffler sticks out anyway.
I would do a flowmaster or something with nice pipes and then add whatever tips you want to the muffler...

Go to a competent muffler shop...
Fabricate a new down pipe and have a O2 sensor bung installed at the end of the pipe.
Remove your stock cat and and center silencer.
Replace the center cat with a high flow Magnaflow spun metal cat and a straight pipe to replace the center silencer.
This should cost you about $250-$300 and the only stock item is your rear silencer.
See how it sounds and feels and if not to your satisfaction look for an aftermarket muffler that suits your needs...
Performance always above sound...
AMG cars were never that loud and the Mosselmann and TurboTechnics installs were not much louder then stock

Try this which will give you a bit more sound and more power....

Here are some ideas...
Magnaflow rear muffler, with added pipe and AMG style square exhaust tips
Magnaflow two into one cat and 3" pipe all the way back to the rear muffler, no resonator.
Rear tips, no bumper mods

Lower pan cut and Lorinser muffler direct bolt-on to MB stock exhaust.

My 500E had the rear pan cut by the "experts" at Lorinser, in the day. The original owner had a few mods done immediately after purchase.
In this case, the pipes stick straight out, in line with the exhaust, The muffler is up, out of the way, and I've only encountered minor scraping. I like the look, but I can understand why people may have a hard time bringing themselves to cut parts on a rarer MB.

I understand that too. My W201 Cossy had the aftermarket tailpipe under the rear skirt. That saved the unique 16V bumper from being cut and made non-original. It did scrape though.

It suprises me that manufactures don't build the mufflers right for the 500e. I won't go into my fiasco with the Remus muffler I had either, at least that only lasted a few minutes before it was yanked and the custom magaflow system was installed
The exhaust pictured is the correct 500e style exhaust, which tucks the can up into the proper location while dropping the tips down for a proper exist from under the bumper without the need for any cutting. This is what I modeled my Magnaflow system after.
