E320 Sedan
Brand new to the Benz world....
Well recently I bought an E320 Sedan, white. It is a '95 and I love it. It has so many features that some brand new cars don't even have. The ride is smooth and I really haven't found anything wrong with it.
I noticed that this forum has two E-Class subforums... W210 and a W124. It might sound like a dumb question but what is the difference between them?
Also, will 20 inch wheels fit on an E320? I really want to change the wheels it has now and I am currently in the process of replacing the stock tape deck to a CD player.
I appreciate it!

You drive a w124 and yes, 20 inch wheels will fit, but 19s are usually the recommended max on these cars.

E320 Sedan
yea I have the W124.
20's will fit on there? I assume there will probably be some custom work done to fenders huh.. I just think 18's will look small because the car seems so long. I used to drive a '90 Nissan 240sx.
Also, how wide can I go with the wheels? 8.5?

Ha same here! I'm just shopping around for wheels right now, maybe making a purchase within the next few months.
As I said before what is the widest I can go with the wheels? 8.5 seems to be the normal width with 18-20 inch wheels. Although I have seen some websites that have 20x8.

19's look odd and 20's look silly on W124s. At that diameter (+5 from factory) the car sits like a 4x4. Defeats ALL purposes of big wheels....higher and uglier = fail.
Stick with 18's

My 17's looked perfect in person on my 300e:
18"s look great if you want something a little bigger.
But 19"s and 20"s should be kept to 500e's, and even then, you will rarely see 20"s on one.

Hmm, I see.
But just asking one more time, will 20's actually fit on a E320 without any problems? I realize it might look dumb but I am just wondering what the biggest size wheels I can put on there. Width and Diameter..

My 300TE has 19's on it (not by choice) right now and they rub when I hit a dip. My ideal setup would be AMG Monoblock II in 17".

Like I said earlier, 20's are not possible without some serious work...
The tried and true "big" wheel's on the non-500E's are 18x8 in the front and 18x8.5/9 in rear. 9's will fit in the rear if the tire isn't too wide.

Apparently not. Furthest I would go is 17" and that is only to accommodate a future big brake kit and wider tires that would allow me a greater selection of performance oriented tires over the stock diameter.
Diminishing ride quality, increased expense of rim/tire, increased chance of rubbing, increased inertia. Bleh.

Don't worry about the size of the rim as much as the suspension setup.
(Taken from a thread a few up)
Those are just 17's keep in mind. Looks perfect in every way. Stick with 17/18 and put your time into the suspension and it will be great.

I would contact Ed (rbycc) with the turbo technics widebody 300CE being built. He's the only person I know of who has actually purchased an Extreme Dimensions front bumper. He could tell you about the fitment and whether or not he recommends them.
