Oh boy...Tried to mount that side -- Does not work with the updated cladding The rearmost cladding that sits right in front of the rear wheels does not fit and I don't want to cut it up or remove it as I think it looks kick *** compared to the older style.

I'm just going to put the later lower skirts instead of the Gen I and just store it for now.

Well that saves me having to do the other one now and I can concentrate on the grand daddy -- Front bumper

Then it's gonna be time to spend all the money you saved by fixing it yourself!

I just finished up the front bumper Will take some pictures tomorrow as it is getting a little dark. The crack came up pretty good. Not perfect...but it'll work over $650.

I will need to wire up the fog lights now. What are my options to make sure they turn on with the regular lights? Anybody got the information for the relay? I'm somewhat clueless on this type of electrical stuff.

Wire them up to your fogs or turn signals. All you have to do is to tap the headlight plug or turn signal plug.

Won't that overload that circuit though? That's why I thought you needed a relay...

Yeah, I assume the wiring harness for the fogs came with relays. You can run them without relays if you disconnect the headlight fogs and run the bottom ones only. Check the wattage of the bulbs that you're using too. I don't really see the purpose of running two sets of fog lights. I've gotten flashed by cops when I had my regular fogs because I guess they thought they where high beams (took off the yellow covers).

You'll be fine if you wire them up with the signal running lights. I did the same with my 300e. The 5w running lights on my 500e are hooked up the same way.

Ok cool. What gauge wiring should I use? Sorry for what may seem stupid questions...Just want to make sure it is done right and have no electrical issues a year from now

I can't wait to finish the evaporator so I can finally see the finished car! #1 spring pads, the updated skirts and the amg front bumper! Soooo eager! Never thought I'd see the day when comparing this piece of junk I bought a year ago for $700 LOL

16-12 ga should be sufficient. But you can always go bigger if it'll make you feel better :-)

Wooo!!

Can't believe finally done!!!

You can see some 'faint' lines where the crack was...it was really tough seeing as I have never done this before. But I don't think it came up too bad considering
