Myster Fuse by Battery

What is the mystery fuse in front of the battery near the shock tower? It's an ATO Fuse (blade style) not like the ceramic fuses in the power distribution center? It had a 7.5Amp Fuse in it. I have a 1994 E320 Wagon

Not Temp Display

It's not the temperature display. The funny thing is the bracket is clearly a factory part, so it's OE not an aftermarket doo-dad. Any more ideas?

E 320
Did you find out what it does?

Some has removed it from my car and I am wondering what it powers. I replaced it for the photo...(the red one)

I think it is the fuse for, or at the least the provision for, the cell phone.

The mystery fuse is for CTEL (factory installed telephone) if equipped should have a 7.5A Fuse,
otherwise the Fuse holder will have no Fuse installed.
