Please Help my 300CE overheating

I have a 1993 300CE, the car has 46k miles. It has been overheating and I do not know why. Plus here in CALIFORNIA you have to have your system working right since it gets hot here.

I have all these parts that I put are Brand New

Radiator-Brand New
Water Pump-Brand New
Clutch-Brand New
Fan Blade-Brand New
Hoses-Brand New
Thermostat-Brand New(Have Tried using the 79C and 87C and still no luck)

DOES ANYONE KNOW THE ANSWER? ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY BECAUSE SOON ENOUGH IM GOING TO OVERHEAT MY ENGINE

Looks like you've replaced all parts related to the cooling system except for the coolant temperature sensor and the refrigerant pressure sensor. Replace these two sensors (or have them properly checked). If it still overheats, have your cooling system pressure tested and your engine compression tested.

If all cooling systems components are working properly and it still overheats...you may have a blown head gasket.

Did you check the two relays that kick on the fan? They almost killed my coupe until I replaced one and all was fine.

sorry to hear that you have a head gasket problem with your mercedes.

after having replaced with a brand new radiator, water pump etc, i would suggest checking the car's fan coupling....this is done by trying to spin the fan...

if it is very easy to spin the fan...the fan's coupling needs to be replace......because normally there should be some resistance....

your mechanic should have check this coupling when replacing the radiator etc...

Could have calcium scale build up on the motor. MB makes a acid you mix with water to flush that stuff out. It can coat all the alum surfaces over time from using tap water and not allow proper heat transfer to the coolant. Also don't be surprised about the head gasket, its probably original and not the updated kind, they use to only last 30-40k.

You can always just run the heat full blast to avoid a overheating situation in a pinch.

By coupling, do you mean clutch fan?

If you mean that then the clutch fan is brand new

Although it is tempting, I think head gasket R&R is the less expensive and less complicated option. Since your car has low mileage, with all new cooling system components, it will give you at least 100,000 trouble free miles.

Good luck!

Yeah I know, the head gaskets are cheap, it is the labor that kills it.

Thats why I have a 500E, strong headgaskets! :p

But seriously try the MB Citric acid, run that through and do a complete flush, refill with distiled water and MB coolant.
