California meet?

I know there are enough members from CA here to have a meet....

Anyone down for an all CA W124 meet? Or should we open it up to be an all MB meet for CA?

I'm up for one Justin, set a date / location and advertise it in all the forums. SF or East Bay may be the most central for the Bay Area...

A guy in SF building a tt wants to create a W124 club for meets and tech sessions, I'm not sure he's on the forums.

Robert, didn't u say the move was only temporary?

As for a meet, I'm up for sure. I know a couple of wagon guys that want to grab lunch when I get back from vacation. There's also a huge meet at the HRE headquarters in vista on the 31st that at least one other 500e will be attending.

If you care to know how your wagon does at the strip, I and a couple other mb's will be at Fontana dragway on the 17th for street legal drag racing. It's only $20.

Just arrived today...I took a look at the temp sensor on the head and it is different than the 2 prong one on my 88 wagon....Not sure if the process of simply pulling it off is the same or not.

Gonna replace the thermostat and radiator tomorrow and see what happens.

Does it have the 4 pin round connector? I tried to use an 22mm O2 socket but the valve cover is too close.

You'll be back to cali... Watch that temp gauge, you don't want to crack a head in the AZ heat.

Cambria?

It's the city equally distant from San Francisco and Los Angeles for an all Cali meet http://www.cambriachamber.org/

Hearst Castle is nearby...

You had a weekend thing planned? I would love to do something like that, including a caravan.

Scheduling is always the Achilles Heel of events like this. Everyone is going to have mixed availability. I myself am in for any weekend now through September other than this coming weekend. Anyone else up for this?

If not, I still am interested in a smaller, more local meet for lunch and photos or something. Here is a flyer for the HRE event:

Yeah, I am interested for sure! I am thinking if we do this, it will be about a month to a month and a half out.

I am trying to scout a place somewhere between norcal and socal, and thats easy on the cars....

I do not wanna destroy my car trying to get to the meeting spot!

Whats a good place that everyone is comfortable with? And do we want to make this a W124 only meet, or all MBs?

If we can get enough w124's, then I would like to go that route. If not, we may have to open it up.

So first off, let's see who's interested, and then we can figure out a date that would be best for everyone.

My home in Palm Springs is at 112!!!! Luckily, I'm at my other home near Los Angeles where it's only 94! lol.

Anyway, back to the subject, I'm down to meet up if it's not too far from LA. I need new tires, brake pads, and I need to get my fender fixed from the 19 year old girl that hit me on Saturday.

You should find a replacement white fender instead of having a body shop fix it. It's all bolt in and then you can clean out the pocket underneath, check the reservoir overflow tank, and replace the fabric hose that usually cracks...

Fender at the junkyard: $40 or less, and a few hours of time. Bodyshop repair: $350+ a few days without your car.

The "second" tank overflow mounts in it. I found MUD and leaves since the tank is designed to overflow water into a well with a drain hole that gets clogged.
