UK 24valve owners

I made a comment to Alan (the chap who just got a 300e-24) that there were quite a few 300e-24, 300te-24, 300ce-24v owners on this and the other forum who were UK based.

As these cars were only built for a shortish time (when the 320E came out) and therefore for e W124's quote rare maybe we should try and get together some time this summer for a photo shoot and a few pints somewhere scenic.

As far as I know the 300TE-24v wasn't available in the US or Australia and I'm not sure about the 300E-24v

Anyone interested in getting together?

Andy

Cool W124 300E-24

Hello again mate,
It's Alan with the 300E-24, I think it's a good idea, even if nobody else does. Maybe it'll be the 2 of us in a pub somwhere half way... Keep me informed on the interest you get.

Regards,

Alan

Andy,

The 300E-24 and 300CE-24 were available in Australia. The 300TE-24 was not.

See my thread re W124 models sold in Oz.

Castle Combe are sending me an info pack but it looks like about being around £150 for a track day. However, there is a Car & Car Conversions 'action day' on Saturday 14th June. For £28 you get 5 laps of the circuit and lots of trade stands. The downside is you have to share the track with lots of boy racers in Novas & Saxos!
Any thoughts?

Yeah

They'd take us on the exit of slow corners I expect but we'd stuff then everywhere else!!!

Also, if your going to hit something it might as well be something soft like a Saxo or Nova!!!

They will probably clear off anyway. Would you want to be on track in a Nova with a herd of bloody great 300-24v's the width of oil tankers bearing down on you on the straights?
