Depends on the day
that's unreasonably massive.
i'd have my doubts that the little alternator could support all the power those things would need.
if anything, split it all apart and just run 1 of those things with a decent amp and call it a day.

so you think i need a better alternator?

A 12 inch sub with a box around 1 cubic feet in volume is more than good enough to produce a pretty good bass hit with a set of decent speakers. That's the setup I have, and I'm not complaining. The car will handle that.
4,400 watts is roughly 400 RMS, which is a bit less than the amp I have. It's not using nearly half it's capacity which is the only reason it hasn't chewed through my alternator yet.
4 good speakers that fit in place of the stockies, along with a decent head unit is usually all you ever need. If you want more, a single 12" sub will suffice. Anything more than that, you're really going to be annoying in public.

95 e320...sold the rest
What kind of subs are those anyway? I used to have 2 15" Kicker L7's with a Hifonics Brutus 2000 watt amp, and my electrical system was fine. After I got bored with those I bought a FI BTL 18" with a 5000 watt planet audio and and had to get an extra audio battery, and that was it.
Capacitors are useless fyi...

ok so
there are two speakers in the front dash board
one in each of the driver and passenger doors
and two in the rear by the head rest
what are each
most places are telling me that:
1. the two on the dash board are tweeters ( i don't think they are so i argue with them)
2. the two on the doors are bass speakers (sub woofers)
3. the two on the back are regular speakers
they also keep telling me that the have to replace my stock radio (noooooo) because the have to put in an amp and the amps that the Benz comes with wont handle it...i understand the amps but the radio has to go my stock radio? (and if my stock radio has to go then that means the cd changer in the back?
wtf man
could someone please help me out please

The stock stereo?
It is as you describe. Seperate tuner/amp. The speakers are arranged differently. The front speakers are like 5" speaker thats paper cone. The doors are low bass, and the rears are similar to the fronts.
IMHO, your best bet for clean crisp sound is to start fresh.
I am running an aftermarket headunit, some compnents, single JL sun, PPI amps, and some other goodies. Nothing super crazy... Well, not by my standards!

you can say "i'm listng these on craigslist and putting the money towards my new system!"
a. because my man's trunk now looks like this
b. because he pays almost $4.50 for gas, and carting that behemoth around is not going to help him very much at the pump
c. because just throwing a random gargantuan sub box (designed for a range rover that too) into the boot of his car, while still using his entire 16-year old factory paper-cone stereo, is not going to do much for his overall musical enjoyment
d. because one day he will have to pick someone up from the airport. Someone with a suitcase.

Don't knock the paper cone speakers. I still have the 6 original speakers in my car. They have been amp'd through a 4 channel for over 2 years now. Still haven't blown a single one. FREQs are adjusted really well, however. I thought they would last less than 6 months with real power. But I guess I was wrong. I have Infinities waiting to drop in, BLOW ALREADY!

Don't replace the speakers, keep the stock ones. I've been told by many people on here that the stock stereo on the W124's suck, but thats bullsh**.
The stock speakers actually have a very good sound quality even when compared to some top of the line speakers.
My brother has an rx8 with a 9 speaker bose sound system, and all of my friends think my stock sound system is better (and ive got one front speaker blown out).
But i also have the 2 small door subs wired to actually play the treble as well as the bass.
Maybe the stock speakers can't go too loud without blowing out, but its about the sound quality and IMO the sound quality of the stock speakers is great.
And you won't have any problems, i say install those subs. Nothing will go wrong for the next several years until those old rusty bolts start coming loose.
