coupe trunk mod
I've been searching for the last few days, but can't seem to find the thread, nor post. But I recall someone posting a picture of a coupe trunk modified to look like the 94-95 trunks. Does anyone recall or has seen the post/thread?
Would love to find the picture

You're still in the w124 game dude? I thought you sold your c124 off for the w140!
I know you'll need one of these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/86-TO-93-MER...-/290934833944
And one of these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-W12...-/151075391239
I believe that should about do it. Not 100% sure but I'm fairly certain haha.

Every once in a while something happens and a gift falls in your lap. We usually have to pay for that gift, but in this case it wasn't very much. Will start a new thread this winter with a whole new project called - "project divorce"
Thanks for the links. I think, if I remember correctly the sheet metal on the 94-95 truck is one piece (on the vertical). I thought someone did some welding of the two, to make it look stock.

Hopefully that name is a joke and you're doing well in your marriage haha.
Yes, I believe the proper 94/95 trunk is one contiguous piece, but I know on the 93 cars they used the filler panel. My dad's 500e has that same piece and IMO it looks really nice still.

Figured the name was appropriate since I was to replace the wifes vehicle first. And then this came up. If I do too much to this thing too quickly then the name will stick.

Most of our group has used up the "skip asking permission, just beg forgiveness" trick.
Asking permission can work at times if you gloss over some details. They figure that one out too but at least you're in another toy.
Lookin forward to the new machine, Joe.

All too true.
Looking forward to finding some time to start playing around with it.
