would this car be a good deal???

i'm looking at a 1990 300e 3.0 i'm new to the benz world ,but i believe this car has an amg body kit judging by the amg emblem on it . But there is some things wrong with the car so i'm wondering how hard they will be to fix. The car has a salvage title. it ran good but is lowered and front right tire rubs fender, tail lights don't work guessing just bulbs, right rear window doesn't roll down with console switch but does with door switch, driverside seat switches don't work, and i couldn't get the headlight wipers to work??? front and rear bumper cover need some body work but i can do most of that myself. has 107,800 miles on it. $2900 bucks should i get it? what would be the most common problem with this car ?

thanks guys and gals if there r some

Salvage title? Electrical problems? Needs Body work? "107,000" miles? All that for $2,900?? Buy a better car for a little more money. Youre going to end up spending more money into fixing the car anyway.

I fully agree with Mike. This sounds like a run down car. Dont try this out. And I bet the AMG stuff is fake too.

The car looks real nice! Just make sure you have a little money for repairs that might come up.

2 main problems A/C and sunroof. Make sure they work! The salvage title makes diagnosing repaired or replaced parts a "toss up". Maybe components were replaced, maybe the weren't. Also make sure it doesn't overheat. Like I said before, the price is great and the car looks great. My car is running perfectly, looks great, and I am selling it for $5,000!!. Sometimes there are bargains out there that are indeed bargains! I would just have a little money saved in case of any unexpected part/repair you might need, after all it is a "pre-owned" car.

Sounds too sketchy to me. Check out this thread to reference a genuine W124 AMG body kit -

Entry price is cheap but are you a bigtime DIYer who's looking for a project? If so maybe this is the car for you. If not I'd advise against it. I didn't see any mention of service records. On this alone I WOULD NOT buy this car. These cars can cost lots of money to fix - a few common problems are -

Engine wiring harness - $600-900
AC Evaportator - min $2000
Valve guides - $1500+
