what wheels will work with a 124 chassis?

Hello all.
I just purchased an 88 260E
I wish to update the wheels and wanted to know the bolt pattern/offset. What later model wheels will fit the car? Anything from the 140 chassis? Thanks for the help

Think ET37-42 is recommended so W140 wheels might be to close to the brakes and/or struts.

W140 S-Class wheels won't fit properly. Contact Luke at Tirerack for a good selection of aftermarket options.

Good luck!

max is 17x8's to have a good balance of looks and ride harshness

or you can roll out your fenders like me and run 18x9.5's all around

The 140 wheels use bigger lug bolts too I believe. There are some replicas that might fit based on the W140 wheel design.

16" and 17" Wheels from the W210 E-Class would fit. The E430's 17"x7.5 ET37 wheels look nice I think. The 16" wheels are ET41 and with that offset, you could even try 225/50/16s for tires.

I believe those C-Class wheels are 16x7 ET37s ? They will definitely fit.

are those the wheels you are talking about?

Anyway, I have the Speedline Evolution II wheels (MB wheels) in 17x7.5 ET37.. just got them today actually

if you want 16's and OEM, I think these are nice for a 124

not sure if the back wheels will fit, they probably will but will be kind of close to the rear fenders, anybody know?

My 18x8J LuftDrag is coming soon... :p Will post some picts once I got it fitted.

Currently running on a set of 17" Brabus and 14kg/mm springs

The ride is bad! Especially so because of the seat comes with springs! But the look is awesome!

I updated a 1992 300E with 2001 CLK alloys. They really dressed up the car. Just bougfht an E420 and kept the CLKs because they look so good. :o
