where do i pour SeaFoam in my 91 300E

im not that familiar with the 300e engine, aside from knowing its an inline 6...
i recently got some Seafoam carbon cleaner that i ran in my other car and helped smooth out the idle and i want to use it on my 300E but im not sure where to ingest it in the engine.

bottle says to run it through the carburator or the vac line on the intake manifold, but i dont know where either is on my engine...

can anyone point me in the right direction?
thanks

pouring it in the gas treats the fuel system.... i wanted to run it through the engine to help the carbon buildup.

i think i know where to run it, but im not positive, so i wanted to make sure if anyone here knows where the vac line or brake booster line is on the 300e Engine.

thanks

Down the carb will get it in the engine faster than through the gas tank but both get to the same place. BTW, pouring liquids into an engine's combustion chambers is a good way to hyro-lock it and bend some rods. Liquids don't compress so the rods are the weakest link.

260E , 1989 (for now)
Why do you want to use that stuff in your engine.?
You talked about carbon built-up. Do you know for sure that you have any carbon built-up?
Introducing any liquid into this engine at the wrong place in the wrong quantity and at the wrong rate can open-up a repair invoice that could easily run into the several thousand $$$.

Ive seen tons of people pour this stuff in their engines, mostly good things, have yet to see anybody with a problem. You can even pour it right into your crank case, but your reccommended to change the oil right after. I plan on buying a few cans and giving the car the treatment. If you figure it out, let me know.

i used this in my 1.8t audi, and it worked great. im not dumping in a whole buch at a time, i sucked in a lil bit at a time through the vac line so the engine doesnt hydrolock...

anyone have a diagram of the engine?
is the carburetor under the intake??

Techron works too

I introduced a half bottle of Techron into my Peugeot 505 through a vacuum hose, poured ever so slowly, it worked wonders. So much crap came out the tailpipe, I was amazed. A trip aound the block, no more smoke, ran so much smoother I had to turn the idle down.

I don't think my '88 300e needs it for a while, it's only got 23K miles. I do add it to the tank though.

Techron is great stuff. Never heard of Seafoam.
