That's obviously an old E class, probably a 96 is my guess, maybe a 97.. How has she held up? Did you have problems when you first got her, and how about now? What about regular wear and tear inside and out? Thanks, and you have a nice set of wheels...

Its a 96 E320 starmark that I bought in 99 with 40K. It has 74K on it now, still runs great. I'd have to say it held up really well. The only complaint is the dash keeps cracking (a well known problem on these cars). The rest of the interior still looks great, but I do need a exterior detailing as there's many swirl marks built up over the years.

Thats a nice ride, I wanted black but I settled for the silver. It would look really tight if you blacked out those windows.

96 e320
18" Brabus mono V
Brabus suspension
fujitsu-ten eclipse lcd/dvd
tinted windows
need an exhaust and kit, couldn't hurt to get a paint job, just rolled 94000 and still running strong

That black portion you are referring to is the rubber strip on the bottom of the door. No matter which side skirt you get, that strip will still show. That's the only reason I got black, because I really wanted white originally. But, black on black is rare and this one was fully loaded (including headlight washers and heated seats ), so I got this one instead. The starmark warranty also helped me change my mind.

Lee,

I still have the stock wheels on my 2001 E320. I am a true Gemini, and can't decide chrome vs aluminum wheels, but I think I am in love with those wheels...I think your car should be attractive to both male and females. There are quite a few wheels which are too masculine for my taste.

Thumbs up Body Kit

Yours is one of the most beautiful E-Classes I've ever seen. What type of body kit do you have on ? And cost (if you don't mind - I'm looking for a kit for my 97 E420 )? Thanks.

Hey Peter!

Did you have to cut the H&R springs to get that ride height? I have the same setup and my car still has about a 3/4"-1" gap between the tire and the fender lip (245 F, 275 R x 19).

I like the stance that your ride has...let me know. BTW, I too am running #1 pads all around.

Aloha,
Keoni

Hi Lee:
I wonder how does your ride quality change with the Carlsson suspension kit?????????????
I just ordered the Carlsson suspension for my 98 E320 a week ago, and can you comment on this suspension setup? Do you have to install any kind of camber kit to correct any negative camber??
One more question, for the front bumper, did you have to replace the whole bumper with the Carlsson's front bumper or is it a add-on like Brabus??? Thank you for your advice.
By the way, your ride looks nice and awsome.

sup guys

Broadst: Thanks man!!

Keoni: Call me

zero: It is a full bumper replacement for the 1996-1999 models only. 2000+ models get an add-on. I don't have the Carlsson suspension, but I can tell you it rides great. You won't be disappointed.

1997 E420

Hello All... anyone?
This is my first post.
I have a Silver 1997 E420, 18" AMG wheels with Dunlop Sport 9000 tires, 275, 35,18 (I believe)
Of course the 1997 model comes with the UGLY black painted skirt across the bottom. I'm considering either getting that repainted to match the rest of the car... or to purchase "side skirts"? I like the front spoiler that the silver E class at the bottom of this page has, as well as the "side skirts" (if that's what they're called) on the black one!

Any help or point me in the right direction to check pricing, etc. would be GREATLY appreciated.

Best,
Paul

Those rims looks great on the car (and I'm not even a fan of chrome rims ).
