No Sir, no joke :p

The 3 top contenders are:

1. W211 E55
2. W211 E55
3. W211 E55........ Any opinions, inputs????

I have to admit after test driving the C55 a few times it's also very tempting, I enjoy the driver feedback the car offers...but falls short in the power delivery department

Yes, will trade the 01 ML for the W164 too...just awaiting to see a glimpse of their AMG appearance package in person.

How's it going with you?

Yes, the W164 AMG package does look nicey in pics...good choice, hope they've ironed out all the bugs in the previous model.

Can't beat a 211-55 for power and practicality and the kit looks so nice...especially in lighter colors. To start with, cant go wrong with some bigass wheels, suspension upgrade, trunk lid spoiler, roof spoiler......but I know you wont stop at just that.....

Man, I hope I won't be too late meeting u on the 211-55 forum with Whitey II in the future dude

Quite frankly never had any issues with my 01 ML what so ever, I've read some of the horror stories on the forums tho...I've been fortunate I presume, however I have clocked only 20K miles.

Hahahaha...no rice stuff on the fifty-five this time, those guys on that forum are pretty hardcore wouldn't you say...One bad move (Type R badge) and there goes my reputation. LOL

Pls. elaborate on Whitey II

No man...not feeling the Lorinser nose and white wheels on the thing. I much prefer the one on pages 106-7, slammed with the 2pc AMG Style IV's...clean, stylish and yet sporty (pity about the damn, window visors, lol). And what about those massive Ewig brakes on the one on pages 92-93? Nice wheels to show em off too...

Cool promo-DVD came with that edition of OM huh? Cant wait to get the real Vid.....

I have not heard many good things about their Gen II system. Did you have any issues with this system? If so, is that why you now want a 211 E55?

Initially when the aftermarket FMU was installed on my vehicle, I felt a slight jerking/bucking at boost and showed misfire codes, once disconnected the car ran like a champ Also, my reason for the cooling upgrades was to decrease the charged temperature, HPS engineers did not feel it was needed but I just enjoy tinkering with things. :p I know a few Gen II owners who aren't active on MB forums, but have positive testimonials towards the new system. The W211 E55 is just a vehicle I've been impressed with since it's release, but I wanted to wait a year or two before pulling the trigger.

Thanks for looking out Buddy! The Brembos & Brabus wheels will be the last two items I plan to sell, I hope to be able to use them on the next project, I'll keep you posted when.

Alex...you sure you don't want the s/c, I was thinking we can plug the extra two cyinders and keep are finger cross...it may work J/k brotha...LOL
