Looking for new tires in NY

I'm getting tires next week on my commuter from Costco. 10 bucks per tire and you get the following:
Mounting
Lifetime balancing
Lifetime rotation
Lifetime flat repair
Lifetime air pressure checks
New rubber valve stem
Costco Road Hazard
Heck of a deal.

i just bought a set of goodyear assurance comfort treads.
not a bad tire, gives the car a very nice ride.
traction is good, its no blizzak, but its a all season tire, not a snow or performance tire.
pd about 470 at discount tire.
for new york, maybe the new goodyear assurance tripple tread?

i buy mine at sears in rego park nears queens center
if you want a good laugh deal with the Indian guy who thinks he is George Hamilton(the comical actor who has a fake tan). I find him amusing with his tan and gray streaking hair he even tries to act like that buffoon in the movies. Tell him you liked his commercial with the new Dell TV if you've seen it. He really is a riot :p

Take a look at the Snow good in the snow thread.
https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w210/129603-snow-good-snow.html
In it, I recommend a Nokian tire that is the only all-season tire that gets the severe winter "Snowflake" designation. This if for someone who doesn't want to have two separate sets of tires. Of course, once a tire used on snow gets below 4mm tread depth, it is no longer very effective as a winter tire. The wear bars on tires are 1.6 mm (2/32")
Good luck.
