4 wheeled car.
Don't be a dirty Persian Alex...

The front bumper, fenders, hood, grill, and headlights are different in 00-02 than from the 96-99. So, you can't just change the bumper alone.

lmao @ all derogatory remarks. LOL

the persian and the french are correct. however, you can get the "updated" look w/ an aftermarket full bumper replacement. you may want to look into auto couture, carlsson, or wald. they have/had decent bumpers that gives the w210 a less boring appearance.

Yes, as the matter of fact, it's very possible. I saw it, and it looks quite good. The bumper cover for the 2000-later is different than 96-99, but the internal & mount is almost identical.

The only problem is that you will need to use shop that have access & tool to fabricate the fiberglass kit, as the top part of the bumer have to be chop off & modified to fit the front of the 96-99 front.

The side and bottom mount is the same, so only the top part have to be worked on

there's a company from belgium that sells the facelift kit for the front end, and all original merc parts (Metal works and PU).forgot the name of the company (I did post it here LONG ago), or i could forward to you the page. it's been done o'plenty over here in Malaysia. One of the mbforum members simlow has done it in Singapore and it involves replacing the whole hood, front end and side fenders. Costs around RM15K - RM20K to do it here (1USD equals to RM3.75). Seen up close, and you couldn't tell it was a post 99 without inspecting the inside.

The updated front sure does look nice, but as hank mentioned, you might as well get some aftermarket bodykits instead.

what one guy did was chop the old bumper in half and choped the new bumper in half and glued them together to make it look like a 2000+, he used a amg or sport bumper......looked alright and didn't have to replace the hood/fenders and so on........i believe the radiator needs to be changed or something needs to be custom made to get around it.......my old bodyshop told me this once
