Can anyone out there take a picture of Fog light housing under your car? (I mean how the fog light was secure w/ the bracket or anything )
w210 and regular fog light...thanks~~~~~~~~~
p.s. reason I asked, because I had the bumper replaced due to accident. And now, I have no idea how the fog light is securee on to the car.

see those two nipples sticking out from the housing? they fit into female
fittings which are part of the subframe/bumper. on the 99 E320 there is
also an angle bracket from which something like a 10mm bolt fastens to
through the housing. on the 99, the bolt is fastened perpendicular to the
ground.
so...the fastening motion is, plug the two position nipples into the holes,
then tighten via the bolt. that's all.

That's why I was wondering if anyone can take a picture of that area. Is there any bracket, hardness...
From where I look, it has a "hoziontal metal plate" w/ two screw hole attached to the bumper, but I have NO way to see how that two screw hole has anything to do w/ the new fog light bracket at all.
p.s. I got the After market fog light from following ebay link......
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/96-97...59143711QQrdZ1
I Just can't FIND any "HOLE" in my bumper for the fog light to plug in

i dont think the 99 and 2000 are same. in my experience, there are no 'regular'
anything when it comes to fit. here is shot through the pax hatch of a 99.
the 2000 is out on the town right now. dont have time to drop the light for you.

Mine is 97 model, and I notice that I do NOT have that "triangular" metal plate!!!!!! (The one that connected to the "extented plastic thingy from the fog light housing)
I wonder if that triangular plate is the "missing" bracket that screw into the "horizontal plate" w/ two screw.
BTW, Maroom is my favorite color ( Woman found it less aggressive and think I am more of a "gentleman")

The fog lights on your 97 are drastically different than the late 99 and later.
IIRC, my old 97 was held on by a bracket with two or three 8mm bolts. Anyone with a pre-face-lift (96-99) non-sport model should be able to snap a photo.

Raymond g- did provide me w/ the photo on above reply. (which I think I am missing the "triangular" bracket)
I guess I will head to MB dealer for parts on Monday.
