You are looking at a Mercedes-Benz 2.0 comand unit with Nav-TV upgrade. In addition to all the features of the navigation unit with this upgrade you can watch DVD’s or play video games on the navigation screen even when the vehicle is in motion. http://www.nav-tv.com/benz2.htm
This unit has an video interface kit & has been reprogrammed by Nav-TV to do the following:
Have Video & stereo inputs for a mobile DVD player or Play Station ect.
Disable the factory programming that prevents video from being played while the vehicle is in motion.
Utilize the blank “TV” button to active the video function.
As for the command unit it’s self it operates perfectly and is in excellent condition. You can play cd’s on the unit and control your cd changer. This navigation functions allow you to map your route, find your current location and even find the names & phone numbers of local businesses. This auction includes the command unit with the Nav-TV interface and wiring harness all you need to add is the Play Station or DVD player. I also have the console bracket, wood trim and GPS antenna on separate auctions. I had this unit in my 1997 E-class for 1 1/2 years and loved it. The navigation functions were very helpful and the DVD was nice on long trips. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email.
Thanks,
Dennis

DMOODY;
When was this Comand Navigation originally installed in your 1997 E-Class and how old is the unit? If it wasn't OEM in your vehicle, where did you get it and was it new or used when you bought it? Any date of manufacter label on the unit that you could post?
I'm just trying to determine how long the unit has been sitting around, if it's been installed in more than one vehicle, etc.
Thank you-

Let us know what you come up with... I think the starting bid was $50 and there has only been one bid; it's currently at $499. To me, it seems like a big jump for only one bid.

It wasn't my listing and I never bid on the item; I was just tracking it because I posted a reply in this thread, asking a few questions to the seller. Seller never responded but I do know the original price started at $50, then changed to $499. There were two bidders at one point but by the close of the auction, the item didn't sell and it showed 'zero' for bidders, which I know is not accurate.
Having been burned a few times on eBay, I guess sometimes the auctions just look a little suspicious to me... I'm sure it's just me. No doubt the item will be relisted...
