Early W210 Blower Motor Regulator Replacement DIY Here...
You need to pull up the links and take a look see. There's plenty of info to draw from and make a decision.
I have no clue what model or year your car is.
Good luck.

In the AM, or when I first start the (cold) car, the blower (and AC) works as it should. It appears that if the outside temperature then gets above about 90 degrees and I turn off the car, then when I re-start the car, the blower motor will not blow ... actually it will blow again after about 2-4 minutes and all is well again. EVERYTHING else functions fine. Occasionally, it will blow OK after a restart but usually its as I described. No button pushing or restarting has any effect.
Ideas?
Thank you
Do you know of any instructions like that for replacing the rear brakes on a '98 E320?
Or figuring out why the windsheild wiper fluid is not pumping?
Thanx!

<HR style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000; COLOR: #000000" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->This is for "tony": THANK YOU !! THANK YOU !! THANK YOU !! for the detailed effort you put into the E320 (W210) blower motor regulator "fix" nine years ago. What a super job you did in laying out the step-by-step procedure to follow. We have a 1997 E320 with 70,000 + miles. Recently, I realized that the blower wasn't putting out what it should. The first few days requiring the AC to be on really proved that there was a problem. A Google session brought me to your forum posting of November 2001. Other forum postings talk about which regulator to buy and where to buy it from. The Bosch and Behr units seem to be the choice of most owners at about $225.00. Maybe I'll be sorry, but I went with a "no name" W140 (S series) regulator from Importec out of Dallas, TX at $79.00 with free shipping. I also ordered two replacement paper filters from them at $13.00 for the set. The original paper filters had never been changed as near as I can tell. And yet, they weren't all that dirty. Needless to say, your original instructions posting "saved my bacon". The wire cutting and soldering part was no problem at all. If the "no name" regulator fails early, as my son said..... "For $79.00 Dad, you can afford to buy a couple more of them." Anyway...... The blower works great now or as my old grandpa used to say; "It works slicker than snot on a door knob." Thanks again.
