1998 E320
E420, E430, E55: best years - years to stay away from?
Just getting the itch and was curious - in the years 1997 - 2000 - any years better than the others for the aforementioned styles?

w210 E320K // w221 S550
according to what i know the biggest diffrence lies within the facelift of the model which took place in 2000... from then the appereance has changed(blinker mirrors, diffrent board computer), and the cdi engines were available... this is the most significant diffrence


i have an 1998 but with lo miles on it... and had no problems yet at all

Anyone glitches w/the blinker mirrors? I love the look but wonder if they're glitchy at all.

No glitches here at all, but I have only had the car for 5 months. Like axl said, get a 2000+ (post-facelift) if you want a W210.

ML320, Looking for my S4
I have a 1996 E320 and not a single problem lately. I did have to do a head gasket around 40-50K ::miles:: and the rear lights were glitchey. other then that smooth sailing

The 98 has been ok. The CPS was a quick fix. I've had the rear passenger regulator go twice in one year - 2500 miles

And the A/C crapped out. But thank god for ebay - brand new compressor for 315 bucks when the shop found a 900 dollar reman as their best deal.

I like the MB - I just want more power and the options for doing that to a 320 just run way too much so I'll just get an 8...

yea i forgot about the regulator, I tend to forget how much i paid at the dealer but i had to get that fixed around 60k. but no more problems ::knock on wood::
