How much should a '99 W210 go for?

owner off....or, you're getting a killer deal. even if one avgs out the myriad
of value guide out there, $14-15 is still the prevailing price, especially if
the car is in immaculate condition and low mileage. just get the car to
a dealer and pay the $200 or so to have it inspected. Also, ask if all the
TSBs or service campaigns are up to date for this VIN. have them check
spring perch rust possiblity for sure....which seems to be in some twilight
zone for TSB.
even if this model isn't flying off the shelf, it has much going for it in terms
of availability of parts, accessories, etc. it has a strong user base and thus,
decent aftermarket support. color is classic and not some strange unwanted
model...should be just fine if you're happy with fairly reliable V6 W210. be
clear of the E320 anomalies which make up this forum and there shouldn't be
any harsh surprises.

for the E, so if I can match that, its mine. I think its a no-brainer at this point. Thanks everyone for the (mostly) good input.
My dad traded in a 00 E320 w/120k on it for 13.5, I bought my 01 with 68k for 15 flat...
Are the facelifted ones worth a bit more?
EDIT: he traded his in in 2/06 and I bought mine in 7/06
"You should pay no more than 11,000 for that car, older e320's aren't exactly flying off the lots since Mercedes started having all of these quality issues"
By the way, the car is a hell of a buy at 11k. It's not your fault the values dropped so low, and to your credit your smart enough to reap the benefit

Uh, not exactly. I think that the dealership never gives a very good trade-in value and low-balled them. Also, the difference is that here in Hawaii, there is a limited market for good used cars. I was actually willing to pay 14-15K for this car considering the shape that its in, and that I know the driver, all service records LOW (even for Oahu which is 70 miles across) mileage. Most of what I see for sale here is 15-18K and this is for older, higher milage W210s. I think the newer, post-merger cars are going to have worse quality issues.
Its been a great car. Just the trans fluid totally replaced. All other fluids have been changed because of time rather than mileage. The FSS system means nothing on low mileage cars.
