Smile Drift the W210?

i just got the idea, because i was watching some Formula D(its f1, but u drift)
well, one of the best drifters there, Rhys Millen, wanted to get some practice, but his GTO wasnt ready, so he picked a random car from the parking lot...a 1998 E320, completely stock...and he was drifiting that thing like it was nothing! o man...i felt proud of having that car...RYHS IS A GOD ...so i know it can be done, but HOW??

i mean the car is RWD, it does have power, just...do you have the ***** to do it

i would do it, but i would like to go straight than sideways

if you do drift it, how do you do it, the car is automatic, and there is no e-brake handle, just the pedal, and if you press the pedal to hard, it locks, than u gotta pull the e-brake release handle.

so...can it be done?

how?

they only showed the inside of the car when rhys was sideways, he just braked and floored it and the car was sideways like nothing, tons of smoke too!

and the car was automatic!

Possible?

I would have to agree that without completely disconnecting at least the ABS or bypassing it, the chances of a good drift are reliant on road conditions (wet/slick) and even then it would seem improbable. But Rhys IS a drift god so if anyone could.

the only way to get the 210 sideways is power over steer. you can't pull the e-brake or drop a clutch. i like getting sideways in mine once in a while

Why would you want to abuse your car like that?

1. If you want to go do stupid crap buy a beater nissan or something...
2. Don't do this on public roads
3. You're a kid the guys that make this look easy are pro's, you'll just total your car or kill yourself or someone else..
4.

yeah, but the time i did it on dry i killed my tires. Its easy to do it on snow, the car is really easy to slide. On wet, you have to disconnect the ABS system under the hood so that the abs does not interfear.

Yeah it is, the abs system is under the hood so you unplug it and the esp, est, abs cant kick in because the system is unpluged.

What he said and then some... plus you will be looking very soon for some really expensive parts to repair your tranny, half shafts etc. That is if you don't total the car and kill yourself or some innocent people.
