Steering shake after changed 18" wheels!!
As you guys know i just changed 18" inch wheels last week.. But the problem have come.. Now my steering wheel shake a bit (not much but can feel it) when the speed reach 100km/hr.. anyone know y? I had done wheel balancing (twice) and alignment. The tyre is brand new 235/40/18 Michelin.. The guy told me it is normal after changing 18" wheels..

try lifting the front up and hold the wheels and shake them sideways not up and down well may be but just try to see if they have any play on them and you might find your problem. thats how i would start it.

I would have immediately said balance your wheels but since you've done that, I would check to see if the wheels are bent. Sometimes the wheel balance machine will try to balance the wheels and not catch the slight bend but you'll feel it when driving. People have used 20" wheels without shaking so it's not the fact that the wheels are 18's.

some of the US branded so-called "top end" custom rims (which shall remain nameless here
) have at least their centers made in China.....the real crap comes out of Taiwan - its debatable as to whether they could be considered "Chinese", so there is a slight difference 
Albeit, maybe you're right, the China-made rims might still be dumped over in the US but I've certainly not seen or know of any full Chinese rim sold here in Asia...

Are the 18s Hub Centric? If Not then any type of Balance work will NEVER fix the problem
Also check to see IF the Tires are out of round ....

longshot: any chance you are using 211 rims on a 210...yet still using 210 bolts?
i am just throwing out the idea that the improper ball seat may lessen the
contact to where they move around a bit? it's a reach, yet still worth
