Exclamation ok guys!! reality check please read!

ok check this out, my friend and i raced the other night, i have a 97 E420, and he had a 2004 E320, so we raced, i was 2 people heavy including my friend recording, and myself, driving,it was only him in his car, i got a good launch stayed ahead for a good, couple seconds and then he started pulling away, SLOWLY tho, so i was a bit confused i mean, i have a 32 Valve aluminum V8, and i lost to a 24 valve V6? so a couple weeks went by, and i bought a can of CrC MAF CLeaner, and i cleaned my MAF noticing how bad my throttle response was starting to get, it was like i was driving a v6,after cleaning it, throttle repsonce was amazzing, so i raced him again, lastnight, seeing how he always wants to race people, and i actually ended up handing his *** to him in that last race, really bad too, after i launched he was actually shrinking haha, hey u guys think this is right? An 97 E420 is supposed to be faster than a 04E320 right? that car is a beast again, also when i floor is and i have my hand on the shiffter, i feel it really shiver is that good? or a sign tranny is bout to go? otherwise 97420 is an amazing car, i love it! anyone have stock 420rims for sale?

car has 108,000 miles.

LOL... Im probably the only person that would respond to this "reality check" because i LOVE to hammer my gas pedal to the floor.
Another thing you might wanna try doing is rseting your transmission computer to readjust to your driving style. I did, and OMG it made a difference. Anyways, how did the MAF throttle cleaner work?
And also, next time your race... turn your ESP off. I think you'll have better results. I cant turn mine off because I dissabled the traction all together

P.S. Do you know of any !!GOOD!! speed chips or any good HP mods?

I always thought the v6 would beat the v8 at launch, but at over 40 mph, the v8 will take over. Well that could be my throttle response is pretty bad since you cleaned your MAF? Anyway i do have 4 e420 stock rims with sets of michelins at 90% tread.

Wait so whats MAF? and how do you clean it for a better response, because my response is pretty slow.

well it's pretty easy, after you take off the engine cover, follow the air intake hose past the airbox, all the way to the block there is a type of black pipe, with a tiny little needle looking plug, that sticks into that pipe, carefully remoive it, and spray it with CRC MAF CLEANER, let it dry for a few mins, unless you have like hte instant drying kind, that's all , when u are done start the car, it may smell funny at start, and may take a few turns to start but after that it will be fine, and yes my throttle was EXCELLENT, after cleaning it, man, it's like hte car is new again.

Hmmmz, that's why I'm so happy with my 2.2L NA Diesel cruiser. My car determines on it's own if and when it accellerates!

I love CRC products. Didn't know they made a specialty MAF cleaner. Interesting.
