Tail light issue. Stuck brake light??
Whenever I'm driving with my fog lights on (two clicks) I've been told i had an obnoxious brake light that never went on or off, just shone brightly. After inspecting I noticed that the left inner brakelight/reverse has two bulb sockets with two bulbs. Yet the right side only has a bulb in the reverse light and what seems to be a plastic placeholder in it's place. I searched around and found some similar threads but I don't think they address this same exact issue.

99 E320
rear fog light is one side *only*. this is by design. no worries. you know how
to turn this bulb on, yes? look at your headlight switch. turn 2 click, then pull 1
click to turn on front fogs (plural).....and pull 1 click again for rear fog (singular)

Excuse me Paxo but unfortunately my used car didn't come with an owners manuel just the start-up guide and a bunch of service receipts. That why i have this forum to direct my questions to. So why don't you just direct all your snippety-ness somewhere else

In Europe driving at speed in the fog,lets the driver behind you at see your car and not think you have your brakes applied.
Probably confuse the hell out of our lousy drivers,Benz drivers excluded of course!

i collated some data for 99 E320 if you are interested: technical service
bulletins (approx 70mb), parts diagrams (from Russian MB site - about 70mb),
some general maintenance info (150mb). i wish i had PDF of the owner
manual but havent been able to find one yet. but if it'll help, I have 00
E320 manual in PDF
